My friend L sent me this much-viewed link of Susan Boyle, the 47-year-old wonder woman that got up on Britain's Got Talent and belted out an amazing version of "I Dreamed a Dream" from Les Mis. Ironically, I was listening to the sound track on my ipod when she sent it, which I often do when I'm programming at work. All that said, I'm a pretty solid expert of Les Mis tracks, and a pretty demanding listener, if I do say so myself, when it comes to musicals.Susan Boyle, you are my heart. Seriously, this woman got up and told about her life in Scotland and how she's never had a chance to sing then she drops this amazing track leaving the entire audience stunned. I cried three times and got chills twice. Among other things, this should tell you how many times I've clicked "replay" this morning!
I'm not one to be moved by music, but I am one to be taken by unintentional irony. Here was this woman who never had the chance to follow her dreams singing lyrics like "I had a dream my life would be so different from this life I'm living." Break my heart! Then when she said in her preroll that she'd never been kissed? Stacy, Clinton-- give this lady a makeover and get her on stage somewhere. Anywhere.

I saw this video yesterday too and now she is EVERYWHERE!! An internet sensation. You can even become a fan of her on FB (she has almost 81,000 fans) How awesome for her! ~;o)
I have to agree. She was amazing and I cried/got chills as well. Gives you the warm fuzzies doesn't it.

A big DITTO. I saw it yesterday. The never-been-kissed thing got me. She lives quietly at home with her cat, Pebbles. And now life is going to change...!
